Very real.
It's hard to really talk about the level of hatred in college basketball between those two places.
And a UC fan, it was the middle of the summer, kind of like a hot July day like this.
And I was like golfing and the guy came in and he had a few drinks in him and he let me have it.
He's like, God, I'm surprised you're not sweating.
And he started going through the whole making fun of me deal.
And true story.
And he had pushed it to such a limit that he actually got kicked out of the country club.
He lost his membership because of that right there.
Yeah, it happens all the time.
That was a great year for me in a lot of ways.
Didn't know when I was going through it, but you know, somebody like me who started playing basketball at such a young age, my dad is a high school coach and working, you know, even in grade school and junior high, like it was basketball all day, every day.
It was the first time that I wasn't a part of an actual team.
And it's a really unique feeling.
It makes you think differently about everything.
And I think that some of how I would answer that question is, you know, just kind of like figuring out there's more to life than just, you know, the next game, the next practice, the season you're in, who you're calling, recruiting, worrying about players on your team, et cetera.
The best thing that I did because of of that framework is, you know, having a true Thanksgiving where you're not worried about your team, the next day's practice, thinking about a game, but just like,
the true joy of being with your family and not worried about anything but that.
That's not a strength of mine, but it became apparent to me things like Christmas, birthdays, travel, being present.
You can be that.
