And two weeks later.
They called me up, said, you want to come work for us?
And the rest is history.
That's awesome.
Crazy as it is.
Well, initially, because they brought me in to do the event center.
And the event center was another thing that was like brilliant on their part as far as promotions go, is that, you know, before that Gene was on the road, he would go to the arenas
And you probably remember these where he would, you know, have to cut these promos with the guys over and over again.
And they would have to customize them, you know, two weeks from tonight at Madison Square Garden, wherever.
And you have the guy and I got him with what do you think is going to happen?
And they go, OK, now we have to do the one that's this, you know, two weeks from tonight.
This, you know, it was just crazy.
So Gene was exhausted and they came up with this idea that if we can do it in the studio and have one person do all the customization, then the boys, all they'll have to do is just cut generics.
And if you remember what the event center was, I'd come in, throw to a generic, whoever it was, Mr. Perfect, whoever, and then there would be a bridge and then I'd throw to his opponent.
And then I would wrap it up by saying all the card and when it's going to be.
And so when I came in, Howard Finkel, believe it or not, Howard wore a lot of hats and he was kind of in charge of the event center because he was in Stanford and he would keep track of all the markets.
And we didn't have any computers then, so he would keep it in this big giant ledger.
They have all the things and he would sit on the floor and with his legs crossed and he'd go through, okay, now, you know, Altoona.
And, and I would sit there in the studio and one after another, and you couldn't put this in a teleprompter.
You had to ad lib the whole thing.
