If you go to your local bank right now, particularly in Ireland, they will offer you like, I mean, such a small amount of interest.
I think at a couple, it's like 0.1%.
And the ECB rate is at 2%.
and you know it is an instant savings account that you need to draw in for your business they're pocketing enormous amounts of capital between the savings rates they're offering businesses and consumers by the way um but businesses and that is capital that you can use to run your business so you're saying if people have raised like five ten million yeah that's just sitting there earning nothing whereas the banks do not see point you're able to like invest it
yeah the banks are not passing on interest to their customers the banks don't want you to put your money in a savings product because when it sits in your day-to-day deposit account guess how much interest you get right so they make it very hard to get access and even if they do give you access they want you to like lock it up for six or twelve months and as a founder i'm not you know you you have to have access to especially like you said earlier the world is so fragile now and changing at such a pace they're like well i don't know what'll happen six months
So Seapoint is like, I call it the financial home.
I mean, it is the place that you do all of your financial activity, right?
The financial processes like payroll and reporting and expense management and paying invoices.
But it's also the place where you get cards for your employees, sign up for subscriptions.
You get, you know, these kind of treasury accounts where you can earn interest.
You get FX, you get a day-to-day business account.
And all of this is using AI to automate all of the mundane tasks.
I mean, things like bookkeeping, right?
You know, what most people do in business is they've got all these transactions come through their bank account.
You go to log into your bank account, it's just a big long list of like really cryptic, you know, descriptors.
I'm at the end of the month and I was like, what?
Like, how do you understand, how do you have clarity on what your business is spending money on?
And, you know, have your customers paid you and have they paid you the right amounts?
And who do I owe money to?
Like, you know, the bank is just like, we're going to give you just a long list of this.
