And then everything else was software.
And then there was a line item for postage.
I'm not kidding you the same you know software and payroll same level as postage motor vehicle expenses straight out of the old style you know electricity and utilities how many checks did you write this month yeah and I'm like hey I'm not getting a lot of information out of there there's zeros on everything apart from software and people and I'm like can I get a little bit more insight out of what's going on with my business right
So, you know, this is just it and it all falls in the founder.
So basically, when you are a team of 10 people, the founder does everything when it comes to finances.
And so you should, you know, you're the the fiduciary of this capital, and it's your job to make sure that you are getting the most, the most, you know, value.
out of the capital that you've been given in investing and to manage your runway and your expenses.
But it's just impossible at the moment.
So we are building, using AI to automate all of these very basic things that our accountants are doing, right?
So when you connect up all your accounts, so Gary, you can go in tomorrow and connect any of your bank accounts.
And within five minutes, you'll see a live cashflow report of your business.
automatically categorized every transaction using ai every grouped into vendors you'll see how much you're spending in your local coffee shop which is uh you know maybe something that you don't you don't know but you can see i don't want to know yes um and you get all that in five minutes right and then the next thing we do is we connect up to your email and we read through every single email that has an invoice or receipt on it and we automatically just pull it into the system
We use AI to read the invoice, extract the tax rates, figure out the bank transaction that settled the invoice.
We then connect to your accounting system and we actually go into the accounting system, upload the invoice, put the right tax code in, the right chart of account, the right vendor.
and we do all the work for the accountant so at the end of the month the accountant goes in and goes gary i have all your receipts and everything's been reconciled for me this the accountant would be spending hours if not like a full day trying to go through and do this work and it's fairly obvious that like this is a manual tedious task the accountant does not like reading through your bank transaction statement and then trying to figure out what every vendor is
um and then trying to find the invoice and then copying the numbers from the invoices into their accounting system like this is just manual work for the accountants as well so accountants love cpoint because we're taking the worst part of their job and automating it the founders probably love it and accountants love it this sounds like a big project though have you raised cash or what have you done so far to build this out
Yeah.
So when we started back in 24, we we raised a three million pre-seed.
It was a phenomenal experience because Frontline backed us when we were just it was literally me and a like Google Doc.
I had a couple of ex-Stripe colleagues who were kind of like semi-signed up if we raised the money, working part-time on the side.
