Sources that I spoke with that are close to the family told me that Charlie is absolutely distraught over the whole affair.
Absolutely.
Charlie Chalk, you know, hospitality is in the blood for the family.
Charlie is originally from Adair.
His father, Bill Chalk, famously moved the family from a farm in Knockhans to the beautiful village of Adair, opening a pub, Bill Chalk's Pub.
Four of the six children ended up in the pub trade.
Among the family's pubs is also Auntie Lena's.
Mr Chalk, Charlie, has spoken before about how the family had been in Auntie Lena's for a long time, six generations, according to an interview that he did with the Limerick Leader.
Charlie's father, Bill, obviously rubbed off on him.
At the age of 16, he moved from Adair to Dublin to work in the bar trade, cutting his teeth in the well-known pub Davy Burns on Duke Street.
Charlie then spent half a decade working in the Dublin bar trade before going on to make his first purchases of his own.
Those would have been the Junction on Camden Street and the Bridge House in Dolphin Barnes.
Yeah, I mean, there's so many.
Perhaps most famously would be the Goat Bar, which he brought into the group in 1982.
But others include Searsons on Baggage Street, the Dropping Well on Rat Mines, the Bank on College Green, and of course the Old Orchard.
All those are in Dublin, but the group also has Bill Chocks in Adair and Aunty Lena's in Adair.
