I think there is a chance that they allowed some of these teams to turn them off in secret.

I think that's very much a possibility, given how the ball does not seem to be getting that extra carry at all parks.

across the across the board uniformly it does seem like even in the dome stadiums it's actually flying a little bit further than you would expect outdoors so i do think there's a chance on top of the baseballs being different that there may have been a change in humidor policy either from mlb or from some of these teams internally that just said we're not gonna use the humidor like we're supposed to and as a result they're getting increased offense in those parks

That's the most interesting theory about the steroid era is not that it was just guys roiding.

It was that guys were roiding and they juiced the baseballs, which led to the dramatic increase in home runs.

The Barry Bonds 70-plus home run season was probably not just a byproduct of Barry Bonds taking –

all of the HGH known to man and having his head swell like three times the size that it should.

But also that MLB was probably introducing juice balls during those seasons, which is why so many players were hitting 30 home runs, 40 home runs.

So that is that is an interesting thing to look at in hindsight.

And if they were buying balls from 25 years ago, that does align with the steroid era and when they may have been juicing them.

So that's very interesting.
