The experience of seeing them beat Southampton in the FA Cup, I loved that so much.
This experience of seeing them knock out Manchester United last season on penalties, I loved that so much.
And even though Grimsby Town supporters will maybe some of them will be in position as well, why shouldn't we push on?
But actually I think English football needs clubs like Grimsby Town to hold the whole fabric of what makes our football so great.
You have a club playing for a a coastal
Town essentially, and in fact they're based even more east to where the actual town is in Cleethorpe's.
It just it just spreads the geography round the nation, but also it's that reminder if you're another club from London, from Manchester area, and you go and play at these clubs, these are the places where people stereotypically say, We don't want to go there, we're gonna make it hard.
And when you do go there, you do get that sense.
Manchester United experienced it, but there'll be clubs even in London.
League two, Saulford to pick them out again, who are still experiencing thinking, Oh, we just can't wait to get out of here because of what we believe where we should be.
Another reason why I have a soft spot for them, Paul Hurst, who was the manager there, me and him both did a journalism course together, a master's uh degree about t over twenty years ago.
And uh ever since then, he I think he was at Rotherham at the time.
I've always thought and he you spoke about wanting to be a manager and all this sort of stuff, to see his
progression as well was good to see and I always wanted him to do well and he did he did well at Grimsby um before Artel took over.
So you did better in the journalism course?

Well, not to go into detail but we were sort of split from the footballers because we'd done degrees at undergrad level.
