Timmy the Whale is free.
So Timmy the Whale was a 40-foot humpback, still is, a 40-foot humpback that swam himself into shallow waters off the German coast.
And has been a point of fascination for the German media since probably March with little updates.
He's been a headline character.
How did they know his name was Timmy?
He got christened Timmy.
pulled the octopus yeah exactly he needed a name he became such a main character that he needed a name and um in several attempts to free him yeah over the past few weeks the latest of which included um kind of digging a uh dredging a a tunnel right on the seabed
and kind of directing him into a barge, which was then sailed out towards Denmark, at which point Timmy was free.
Anyway, this qualifies as a footballing moment of the week because the weekend ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt's game against Hamburg, four Eintracht Frankfurt fans had a, I don't even know how you describe it, a sort of a collage of Timmy.
Not a collage, like a big...
It was on sort of four different sticks, and it was held up, and it was a big kind of blue whale, if I'm being pedantic, not really a humpback whale.
And they walked him around the stadium, and you can find some footage of that.
It was a great moment.

Yeah, unfortunately, on Timmy's tail, they'd drawn a picture of the Haasvaal rhomboid, the club crest, with a big cross through it.
So when Timmy got to the Geisterblock, the Hamburg section, he kind of perished.
