Although there's a lot of fan duels and DraftKings and what have you, a lot of people I've found in doing this show really, really love using a bookie because of the personal relationship, the kind of flexibility you have in regards to paying him or her back.
And this show kind of follows and chronicles the life of a bookie who I think the connotation is the bookie is some guy who's 300 pounds and he's in his basement and he's going to break your legs. However, you know, bookie's got a wife, bookie's got a kid, bookie's got a mother-in-law. So we kind of tackle all those different areas of Danny, who I play on the show, and people seem to love it.

I think we've got to bring back a Ditka or someone with a vowel at the end of their name. I don't know what's going on with these Bears. Eber Flus looked completely stunned at the end of the game. Poor management. Listen, I'm not Mr. X and O's when it comes to football, but I do know that maybe you should call a timeout with 32 seconds left. But...
Yeah, it's just heart wrenching to be a Bears fan. You know, nothing to really cheer about since 85. I think we went to the Super Bowl in 07 with the Devin Hester kickoff return against the Colts. But other than that, you know, I think maybe they got to sell the team. I mean, we got to get somebody in there that. you know, doesn't make their money off football. I mean, I don't know.
What do I know? I'm just a fan sitting there watching. And my father and I get on the phone every Sunday and complain that what are they doing? So I don't know. I think maybe a change of ownership would be refreshing.
Where are you in your fandom? I'm going Jim McMahon. I started watching the Bears with Bob Avellini, if you remember who that is. But the 85 Bears from soup to nuts, I don't think you get a better. I mean, I love the Wilbur Marshall and Peyton, Sui. By the way, what happened to the fullback? Are we using the fullback anymore in the question?
I gotta be honest with you, this Thanksgiving, it was very minimal watching of any football. I have two kids, five and seven, and the time I have with them, we were in the pool, kind of goofing around in the pool, and then my father-in-law was kind of shouting at me from the living room going, that's another score, they're down 17-0.
So I was getting it from him, but I didn't really watch this year. I gave up on the Bears after they went four and four, and I figured we're going south here. So I tap out. Why waste my time with it? I mean, you know, guys like you, you got to watch sports and report about it. But for a fan, like for me, I'm not one of these guys that's going to take the team for four and 12 and watch every game.
If you're not showing me something from the beginning, I'm out.

I'm at the point now where I'm looking for another team. You know, I thought I would never say this, but, you know, I'm a Chicago guy, you know, and all my teams are Chicago from the Bulls to the Blackhawks to the White Sox. So I don't know. At this point, you know, I live in Los Angeles for 26 years. Do I adopt the Rams? Do I adopt the Chargers? I don't know.
But, I mean, I'm just tired of losing, guys, and I don't know what to tell you. He's quentin. That's it.
No, you know, listen, I have been very blessed to have my dreams come true and make a living at doing stand-up comedy. When I'm home, I'm a family man first. I'm not one of these guys that's all about the career, although I do work a lot. But my family is very important to me, and the time that I do spend with them are very, very precious. Yeah, you know, it's difficult.
You know, I kind of long for the days where I walked into a comedy club and, you know, no one really knew who I was and I had the challenge of kind of like winning them over. So now, you know, it's hard to maintain that level of excellence year in and year out, because I think when people come to the show, They're wanting to see equal to or greater than comedy that they saw the last time.
And I put a lot of pressure on myself to kind of deliver that. But it's it's, you know, writing new material is very difficult and you could write new material, but it might not be as good as what you said two years ago. So I try to make it as as as as high as I possibly can as far as.
making people laugh and uh i feel like this tour is some of the the best material i've done and uh really having fun with it you know sometimes uh i think last tour i was under the gun in regards to my health i had a sciatic pain on my right leg i couldn't be as physical as i wanted to but now after doing uh pilates And having that go away, I'm having a ball again on stage.
Yeah, you know, I mean, this time around, though, I think, although it is a little taxing on the body, all these cities that I've been going to, I'm trying to enjoy the city a little bit more. I mean, sometimes you really don't have the time to really immerse yourself in the culture of the city that you're in.
