I remember one of these top chefs from Napa coming in and giving a seminar of how you would make this, that, and the other thing.

And at the time, I wasn't interested in cooking.

Now I love cooking, but I'm like, I'm not going to listen to this guy.

I want to do stand-up.

So I wish I was a little bit more open to learning back then because I did have a lot of opportunity to do so.

Yeah, the way I looked at it, I was never a couch surfer.

I was like, you know, a lot of people come out here with $12 in their pocket and they live on somebody's couch for three months and then pop over to it.

I didn't want to do that.

I wanted my own place.

I wanted to have a little scratch to walk around and buy stuff.

So I wasn't going to... Well, I did actually leave the job for a little bit to go sell satellite dishes for Dish Network in the ghetto.

So that was...

I was I was slinging satellite dishes for Dish Network on Martin Luther King Boulevard in where is it Baldwin Hills at the Baldwin Hills Mall in a kiosk.

So selling satellite dish subscriptions out of a kiosk because I was so sick of tired of working as a waiter.

And then I went into severe debt doing that because I wasn't selling anything.

During that time, you needed a credit card to qualify for the service.

And a lot of people that were shopping at that mall did not have a credit card to qualify.

So I couldn't even get people in the door.

But I would go to home shows, you know, try and sling my wares at home shows.

Yeah.
