And I think there is this extensive co-opting of each other's knowledge that's happening.
That's not one way, especially now with Chinese AI companies dominating open source.
I think it's very simplistic and almost too reductive to be like, hey, it's Chinese companies copying American innovation.
Right now, it's obviously two-way.
And some can even argue that
You know, most of the American startups nowadays in AI are actually building on top of Chinese open source models.
So there is, I think there's a total reversal of what we used to see in, you know, the internet era where we're like, oh, Chinese tech industry just copying Silicon Valley.
Yeah, I hope so.
And I think American, a lot of American AI companies are trying to build, you know, the American open source model like Numotron from NVIDIA, Thinking Machine.
There's a company called Reflection AI.
So a lot of people are trying to do this.
And I think it's better for the ecosystem if you have more stronger American open source alternatives to Chinese ones, right?
Like when people complain about Chinese open source models, I'm like, just build your own then if like, if you're so unhappy with, you know, the ones coming out of from China.
So I think my prediction is that in a year's time, we'll see a lot more very competitive American open source models, but whether they can beat China in, you know,
not just at home, but also in the global market, really just depends on a lot more things like cost, like efficiency, and also, you know, whether they're able to bring in the users who are now very entrenched in a very different ecosystem.
