That got noticed in markets around the world because authoritarian regimes put out numbers to meet their political goals and play with the numbers.
And they're not reliable.
They're not trustworthy.
He's messing with the independence of the Fed and the reliability of our economic numbers because he's failing to meet his promise to lower people's prices.
Folks, prices are going up.
The price of housing, the price of groceries, the price of medication.
And it's all getting worse because of his absolutely chaotic tariff war with dozens of our allies and partners around the world.
This is his attempt at continuing to sort of break the guardrails in order to try and force those prices.
So one of the things I worry about the most, particularly after Charlie Kirk's murder, is how social media is not just dividing us but driving us into these separate reality levels where what you see on your feed is wildly different based on the algorithms that then push you towards reinforcing your interests or your prejudices, your interest or disinterest in getting information.

Just to give you a moment of hope, wait for it, Senator Ted Cruz and Senator A.B.
Klobuchar introduced and got passed, and Trump signed into law a bill called the Take It Down Act.
Now, this is narrowly focused on revenge porn, on non-consensual pornographic images, but it, for the first time, breaks through that Section 230 protection that social media platforms have to say, no, you're actually responsible for this.
You have to take it down.
We have right in front of us another bipartisan bill called the Kids Online Safety Act that is Dick Blumenthal and Marsha Blackburn, Democrat, Republican, has 80 co-sponsors passed the Senate in the last Congress.
We should take it up and pass it again in recognition that a lot of what's driving us apart is what is in social media and how it works and how it holds us and drives us.
We have huge problems in media concentration and politicization.
Yes, and we have even bigger problems in that Trump is demonstrating that his approach to any major economic deal is, give me a piece of that.
Crypto, give me a piece of that.
I'm going to go to the Middle East.
