I have said repeatedly that one of the big mistakes that Obama made was federalizing student loans and bringing it all in-house, taking it away from your local community bank.
Because the rate doubled, the interest rate doubled, the complexity, the invasion of privacy.
The federal government needs to be out of the student loan business.
I would hope so.
