I've heard Republican colleagues say that they deeply oppose the cuts in Medicaid.

They now need to have the backbone to vote their conscience and what they have said to their colleagues like me and others.

They need to stand up to Donald Trump, to the House leadership, and maybe to their own.

Do the right thing, because for their constituents across America, it makes a huge difference.

It's not a Republican or Democratic impact here.

Rural hospitals in red states, as well as blue states, all kinds of people are going to suffer.

I think our chances are better because there's more awareness in the country and

consequently more awareness among my Republican colleagues about the devastating impacts these Medicaid cuts will have.

The fact that so many women and children will suffer, literally life-threatening health conditions, I think has to be powerfully persuasive to them.

Is that the point of this here, is to make sure that America sees and hears what's going to happen?

make sure that America hears these voices and sees these faces because all too often people can look the other way.

They may not see what we're seeing here, what we see when we go home.
