So thank you, you know, I'll tell you a story When I first began running for office I

I had been a state representative, but I was mostly a prosecutor.

I'd been a federal prosecutor, and I was stiff.

So my campaign advisor, I was just getting started running for attorney general, going around the state, talking to town committees.

They said, you have all the right credentials,

Harvard, Yale, you were Supreme Court clerk, you were federal prosecutor, but you have to make them feel like they wanna go out and have a beer with you.

So I said, okay, I can handle that.

So on my way to the next Democratic town committee where I was supposed to speak, I bought a six pack of beer.

And I walked into the town hall where they were having a meeting and the chairman of the town committee looked at me and said, what do you have in the brown bag?

And I said, I have a six pack of beer, you know, in case anybody wants to have a beer.

And he said,

Get out of here.

We don't allow beer in the town hall.

No alcohol.

So I said, OK, I'll take it out.

That was the last time I don't drink.

I did.

Yeah?

I'll manage your campaign.
