And I got to say that that message is powerful. If that were true, I would oppose school choice. Let me repeat that. I don't want to destroy the public schools. If school choice would destroy the public schools, I would oppose choice. Why? Because the vast majority of our kids are educated in the public schools and they will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

When you implement school choice, when you give kids scholarships and options, several things happen. Number one, the kids that take the scholarships, that go to new schools, that go to private schools or parochial schools, religious schools, we know the educational outcomes go up. Their reading scores go up. Their math scores go up. Their high school graduation scores go up.
