I got a sense between him and my mom of what it meant to put other people before you, what it meant to work hard, what it meant to kind of just take all of the things that life would throw at you and still put on a happy face.

even though I had kind of a broken upbringing, I always felt very fortunate that I had extremely positive male role models around me.
I think that that was like super beneficial for me and kind of becoming, you know, who I am as a person.
