It is, it's generally rare to encounter a high performer who doesn't have some method of managing their state.
And so for a lot of them, they will have an exercise routine and they will have a very regimented structure of, okay, I'm going to wake up at 5 a.m., get my workout done, get to my day, or I'm always going to make time for it at the end of the day.
And if you don't come across someone like that, it will be someone who does a different form, a more passive form of exercise, like a yoga or a meditation, which I guess is not really exercise for the body, but it's a grounding technique.
So they'll generally have something that they do that they don't even acknowledge is helping them with the overthinking.
But we know when we look at all the data and the patterns, there's this amazing link.
It is.
I remember I had this experience when I worked in corporate.
So by way of background, I spent four years.
So I'm a trained lawyer, commercial lawyer.
Really was not for me.
Whole other story.
I did four years there and then I went into banking and finance.
Why banking and finance?
No idea.
I just needed anything other than the law.
My academic background was law and psychology, but I like forgot that I loved the psychology part and I just went along with the flow.
When I was in banking, I knew that I had the competence...
like year three or four.
Initially I didn't, and I felt like a fraud, but by year three or four, I knew I could do the job.
I knew I could deliver because I had a track record and I was receiving so much recognition at work.
