Obviously, it ended up turning out like that.

And Caballero adds a three-run homer later in the frame that really puts that game out of reach.

But I think that's how I would look at it.

strategically I understood it and you know maybe it's just an execution at that point and if you're gonna if you're gonna put the pitch there you put it in a spot where he's not going to be able to to do that much damage with it okay so you mentioned Jose Caballero there

Well, I think, so there's two incidents, but they end up marrying, right?

And so when John Schneider goes out to argue in the eighth inning about the Bach, and he's obviously pissed about the Bach, he's also out there to argue about what happened earlier in the game because he's still mad about that.

And what that is, and it's kind of funny because it just adds a new wrinkle to the Blue Jays-Yankees rivalry where now you're getting tug-of-wars in the batter's box over the pitch clock, and

you know, that's Caballero playing that game and the Blue Jays trying to not let him play that game.

But the, I think the frustration on the Blue Jays end, and this was in talking to John Schneider and to Spencer miles about it a little bit is that, okay, so you have this incident and Caballero is not ready where with eight seconds to, or not alert to the pitcher with eight seconds to go, or it's just really cutting it super fine.

And so it's,

you're going to penalize him for delaying or warn him for, excuse me, for delaying, but then not penalize him for a strike or then not act further when they kind of go on this, have this long conversation.

And the point Spencer Miles made, which is a really interesting one, is that he's just standing there and because he and Jerszynski and

eventually crew chief uh tom pain and yankees manager aaron boone all gather at home plate it's not like he can even throw warm-up pitches during this period of time as it's taking place so he just has to kind of stand there idle both physically and then try to stay engaged mentally through that whole time so i think that was all part of the frustration that john schneider uh

took to the field with him in that eighth inning.

And so he got his feelings and thoughts out about the balk.

And then he made a turn and said, hey, I've got some stuff for the rest of you and the crew as well.

And so he shared those thoughts with the umpires as well, really getting his money's worth for that ejection.

Yeah, so my brain's a little bit mush, but I think it's 15 whiffs on 26 swings against his splitter on Saturday.

It was an absurd number.
