Well, the question becomes, what are the ambitions for this U.S.

national team?

Well, I think... I think that's the best case scenario.

I mean... I think... To your point, I think there is an expectation by U.S.

soccer fans, rightly or wrongly, that this team at least gets to a quarterfinal.

If this team doesn't get to a quarterfinal, the World Cup will be seen as a failure.

I think there are some...

feelings and in certain quarters that this team can get a separate final to a semifinal.

I do not.

You don't think so.

I think there's an expectation from a U.S.

soccer fan base that this team is good enough to get to semifinal.

Fans could feel that.

I don't subscribe to that.

But what that does, and the point I'm making is that puts a lot of pressure on this team to perform.

to dominate a group in which, in those shows we did immediately after the draw, I made the point that all four teams in that group will think they can get out of it.

So even that is not guaranteed.

So there's a lot of pressure

individually on these players to perform at a level that the U.S.
