When I was young, the streets taught me many things.
Just as they taught me the bad, they also taught me the good.
I learned to become stronger and never give up.
I feel that the only thing that we need is love.
The work won't change unless we show love to our neighbors.
What helps me change is everyone guiding me has taught me the concept of you are the other version of me.
This means we are all connected.
And yes, if I hurt you, I hurt myself.

I am grateful for the people that God has placed in my path.
They have become a second family to me, and they have turned me into a warrior and a role model for my entire community.
My message to all the youth is let's follow our dreams.
And no matter how hard things get, let's not forget that we are the present for a better future.
And I also want to recognize Evie.

They both quickly just went into action and saved a young person's life.
