And so I don't know what I would have done differently.
Or were they saying something that was... Yeah, I don't think I was out of the ordinary for a retired athlete.
I think every athlete goes through some version of this, some form or fashion, and the longer you're in the game...
the more work you got to do, right?
And I describe it as, and I think this befalls any person of success, all right?
But especially young people, you know, entertainers or people who win the first third of their life, right?
When you're identified as a young talent or even an old talent, you know, you're told you're great, you know?
And if you show any vulnerability, guess what?
We're going to take your dream and give it to that person because they don't show any weakness.
So what do you do?
You start building walls.
You always have the answer, all right?
You can't feel anything.
You're bulletproof, right?
So emotionally, psychologically, financially, sexually, like I got all the answers.
I don't need any help.
Give me space.
Just give me a laptop, magazine, and some space.
I'll figure it out.
And it's all good till it ain't.
