dial it back a little bit and be smart and recognize that I was going to have six plus months in front of me and now we're working on seven, eight months and I'm happy to be doing it.

It's a good scar, though.

We have a number of guys that we can say that about, but if we're talking about Vladimir specifically, obviously I'm so happy they decided to sign him to an extension this past offseason.

I feel like he is worth every penny, being able to see not only his performance on the field, but the work that he puts in behind the scenes, his quiet confidence, his demeanor in the dugout, in the clubhouse, on the field.

We all feed off of it, and it's a special group.

He's a special, special player.

I'm very grateful to be able to be teammates with him in this time and see it firsthand.
