So it gave me an opportunity to come in and

and see an experience inside the football club.

I sat in all the team meetings.

I sat in the weekly meetings before, and I saw what the VFL program does to a club where you've got this group of players who are striving to get in, be selected, and they're really positive and up and about, and then you've got this other group of players who have just not been selected in the AFL side.

You've got to merge those T2 teams together and get the best out of them at the same time.

Interesting observation from a coaching point of view and the way you've got to communicate with players.

So I loved my time there.

It gave me a really good insight into the way a football team and particularly that crossover between VFL players and AFL players works.

I loved it.

And it's certainly, I think, given me a great insight and allows me to come in and ask various questions.

I don't, by any stretch of the imagination, have any input into tactics or selection and so forth.

But when I do sit in those team meetings and the list management meetings, I think it's given me a greater insight and a greater understanding.

Yeah, really well.

If you wander past there, you'll see it coming out of the ground.

I think we've just started putting the wood beams on the very top level.

The roof will go on in the coming weeks, so we're two weeks ahead of schedule when we are on budget.

We still do have a small funding gap to overcome to get it done, and we're still talking with...

all various levels of government to see if they can help us get that funding gap over so we can complete the thing in its entirety.

But, yeah, come June next year, we look forward to being able to welcome everyone to Punt Road and the new Punt Road and the new Jack Dye stand, and it's going to be an incredible venue and home for us in the years to come.
