I mean he was he was everything, but they own that little grocery store and I think that's where my dad probably got, you know, his entrepreneurial spirit.
Um and and really coming from a fall s from a small town where you know everybody, you've gotta do right by people, right?
And so I I think that's where a lot of those values come from.
Um, Wayne's dad also was was somewhat entrepreneurial.
I actually really entrepreneurial.
He had a small little business.
He was a he was they were teachers administrators um in uh this in the schools outside of San Antonio and and uh had a family of five kids, a lot of boys to feed, four out of the five were boys and um he had a he had a little uh a a little business on the side of the road selling
um, selling honey, if you will.
He had bees in beehives.
And um and the the boys were, you know, always uh they they had to help out with that business.
So I think that, you know, Wayne had a little bit of that too.
So just again, just c that combination, like I and I tell this story because I think there's a lot of people who have experiences like that.
um and they don't necessarily realize that they've already learned some of those entrepreneurial skills along the way.
And so if they're ever thinking about starting a business that uh that maybe they should just take the plunge, which is what we did.
But uh getting back to your question about, you know, getting more family involved
my brother Glenn, who is I'm I'm the oldest of three.
Uh Glenn is uh about a year and a half behind and then Brett's about five years behind that and
Um we we um we we all grew up in that.
We all learned those skills from from my mom and dad and and we all have that entrepreneurial spirit.
And so when when Wayne and I founded the company not long after we started it, we opened that second location and we needed some help and Glenn actually saw our first year financial performance for the first retreat and he was like, This is unbelievable.
