For those who aren't familiar with the calendar here.
The rookie tournament, uh, sorry, the rookie camp, as I guess you could call it with the showcase and all that.
That's already underway.
It started yesterday.
Today it was practice on the ice.
Tomorrow and Sunday, the rookies play in Gatineau.
They have two games, so that already already is underway.
The golf tournament is on the 14th, and bam, you're in it in the 16th.
The training camp here this season is 13 days long.
Shortened, less preseason game.
I don't think anybody's gonna complain about that one, but nonetheless, the Habs are playing two split squad games against the Leafs on the 19th, a full squad game against the Sens on the 21st in Trois-Rivières, and two split squad games again against the Sens on the 26th.
The season starts 29th.
So things are going fast.
Here, and I'm first and foremost, I just want your thoughts on this.
Having been around the game and having coached yourself.
the importance of a strong training camp heading into a season, just how much does that help to to go underway?
Exactly.
Speaking of the head coach, Pierre, great transition because I want to talk about Marty and the coaching staff and the organization as a whole, knowing that this is a shortened training camp.
They only have 13 days to get the team ready, to know what kind of personnel they have and where everyone slots in.
