So what it did was it protected me from moving the players above a tier or below a tier.
So I can move them around that tier, but that was it.
So it was really based on weighting preferences of playing style and positions and certain skilled attributes that I valued more.
And what comes out is the first three players on my list are in its own tier.
I had McKenna at number one, and the reason primarily what bumped him ahead of everybody else is that offensive ceiling, that output.
He may be the only forward in this group that hits over 100 points on a regular basis in his prime years, 23 to 31.
And then Chase Reed...
I weight heavily defensemen because if you look at the salary cap era of free agency or going into trade, the cost of acquisition for a top three defenseman is ridiculous.
So if you can get one at the draft, do it.
So I took all that scarcity and supply and demand and applied it back to my draft ratings, which is why D-men tend to go higher on my list.
And Reed was the one defenseman who I thought was going to be, had the greatest potential and probability of being a number one defenseman in his prime years.
And then Stenberg was just slightly below that.
I mean, these are razor sharp margins between the two.
And I just find Stenberg is more well-rounded.
However, I'm not entirely convinced his upside will be, you know, the 100-point range, but he could be in that 80, 85-point range consistently.
Boy, but off the puck,
His B game is exceptional at this age.
It's outstanding.
I think the media is focused and the fans are focused on those players.
That organization is going to be really focused on that defense.
