Because a top-pairing defenseman trumps a second-line center any day of the week.

It doesn't matter how much character you have or your work ethic.

It just simply doesn't value.

If you have a chance to get a first-pairing defenseman, you take that player and you run and you say thank you.

Because all of a sudden, you can go find centers later in the draft or next year or the year after that.

We're not fixing the Vancouver Canucks in one year here.

Those are the type of centermens that'll be number threes, but hard number threes.

and be able to play in a lot of different situations.

So you could have, you know, Kutz and one of those three centermen.
