And Sam Dickinson is a left-handed shot.

And that would fulfill their need as their first pairing moving forward.

And sort of round out their whole defense from that standpoint.

Well, I would be interested to sit in the room and to understand how they have evaluated each of these candidates and have they gone through the process of understanding who's the best evaluator of talent, not only on the ice, but the best evaluator of personnel talent for your hockey operations department.

Because that's critical.

There isn't a general manager who's going to walk in just –

any of them and make everything great again just one person like your coffee op staff have to be the best and if you want to be the best so who are the best about talent evaluators that you can take you can go get from other teams particularly as a general manager so if you look at that you know i've been doing this type of quantitative research on the output of drafting developing and

trades and free agency value since 2007.

You know, I did my MBA in hockey management on the business side.

Just finished up my PhD in decision-making for, you know, NHL hockey operations, decision-making effectiveness.

And hiring is a big theme in my research.

And I think it would behoove them to really understand who's actually the best.

at talent evaluation, and they generally come out of the amateur staff.

That's where they start.

So if you're looking at the best evaluators, you're looking at Mike Buda, you're looking at Ross Mahoney, you're looking at Martin Madden and Mark Unetti and Jamie Langsbrunner.

Those are the best evaluators you're probably going to find that are available to come in and be a GM.

Now, the question is, can you get two out of those five that I've talked about?

That would be the steal for the Vancouver Canucks.

And then let them rebuild this team and hire the people that they want to help rebuild this team.
