So...

I really appreciated and respected him for really doing his best to keep it together, to keep us all together.

So the confusing part came in, of course, with the violence and the violations and all of those things.

It was weird.

And...

You kind of go into this denial that it's two different people.

And the dad that loves us and is doing everything he can to save us and feed us is

You know, he means all of that.

He really means all of that, and he's sincere.

And of course you believe that, and I still believe that.

I think people that have their own mental challenges are not all

bad.

Maybe that it does sound a bit odd, but to me, this was a good person who had his own mental challenges.

That's the way I look at it.

And I'm not excusing it.

I think it's wrong to look at it that way.

I'm not finding excuses for the abusive person.

I do think the abusive person is guilty of abusing, but this was a loving man that cared about us and wanted us to

thrive in life and did his best, but had his own mental issues.

That's the way I saw it.
