Yeah, no, I love the layers.

It's a good question.

I see it more as not, you know, I'm always looking for self-improvement in the sense that I will never know everything there is to know.

And I will never reach...

my full satisfaction.

I'm never a thousand percent happy with what I do.

I'm always striving for better because I know there's better.

But the success part of it, the award part of it, the accolade element of it is not really something that I feel I have any control over anyway, so that's not anything that I strive to gain.

But

Perfection of my own work, yes, I will always strive for that.

And there's just so much to know.

There's so many ways to do one thing.

And am I finding that one thing when I decide that a work is done?

Have I really hit the mark?

Is there more to explore?

I think it's maybe an artist's suffering a little bit to have to decide when something is complete.

And that is partially because for me personally, I'm not self-doubting, but I know there's other ways.
