So the Little Miss Twain album is...

Really, the gap from when I started as a very young child as a singer, as Little Miss Twain, which is how I was introduced on stage when I was a child, to when I got my recording contract.

So there's a whole missing awareness in my story as an artist of how I became Shania Twain from Little Miss Twain.

So Shania Twain became a recording artist at the time I was signed.

But pre-signing, we're talking 27 and under.

I was already in my late 20s.

So all of that life had been lived already.

Wow.

Yeah.

As Little Miss Twain.

So the earliest part was country music.

And then it went into folk, well, a more like contemporary country music that would have been Glen Campbell, even early Bee Gees.

And, you know, moving into then folk of the Joni Mitchell time and then became more rock music.

Because the late 70s was now getting into more rock with, well, even, I mean, Supertramp.

Yeah.

All of those big band sounds were a big part of my teens.

And I was doing that stuff on stage.

So by the time I got my recording contract, I was already a hybrid of the rooted early years of country music and then everything in between.

So I feel like a... I think in my soul, I'm a country folk singer.

The same way I see Dolly Parton because she wrote all these great folk songs that were just great stories.
