They were kids themselves.
But I was saying, yeah, my grandmother raised us all.
I mean, it was my father's mother.
So he went off to, you know.
become a minister in North Carolina.
He was kind of living the street life and got his life together, gave it to the Lord.
And then so, you know, his his I guess their deal, my father and his mother were like, look, you go get your education, get out, you know, Southern California, San Diego, California, and was like, and I'll take care of, you know, your child and his mother.
And my mom was, you know,
hustling, working hard herself, night school, nursing jobs, all of that.
So then they were teenagers.
So we kind of all grew up together.
They were 17 years old and I was a baby.
They didn't drop out of school.
They graduated, but they had to get the hustle because now they brought a life in and you got to take care of that even though your grandma was going to handle it.
Y'all take care of what y'all need to take care of.
And my dad was kind of like, you know, he had his own success story as well to go from the street life and getting arrested, doing
God knows what during that time and to be able to, you know, give his life to the Lord and then go graduate from college.
