Yes, the machine inspects the phone right there.
You walk away with money immediately.
It sounds great.
It is great.
There's tons around, super convenient.
It's places where we're all going.
But the hitch is that you're usually going to get less money from that than if you go with one of the services where you mail it in.
But one of the cons for selling at those places is you may not actually know what price you're really going to get until you send it in.
So I've heard of people who have sent in devices that they say are in good quality, don't really have a lot of scratches, and then they find after inspection that the offer that they initially got was cut in half.
So that's kind of a big thing to keep in mind.
Also, in the U.S., we typically are going to trade in our devices at the location where we buy our next one.
That's at the Apple store or Samsung or the carriers.
Going to one of these resellers takes a little bit more work.
They all typically have around the same price, but you could look around and see where you could get the best value.
But it is just a little bit more work than maybe taking it to a Verizon store.
Everyone I talked to said that iPhones tend to hold their value more than Samsung devices.
I kind of got different answers for why that was.
