At that point, I'd started doing acting classes in Dublin at the weekends and thinking, oh, I think I might like this.
And I had this slightly strange encounter with an Irish director called Jim Sheridan, who just came up to me in a cafe and said, I want you to audition for my show.
So I went along and auditioned for that film and really failed badly, didn't get it.
But somehow, weirdly, it made me think, I want to not fail at that.
So I went to London to sort of do that because there's a great fringe theater scene in London and I thought, that's the way I'll do it.
I'll get into fringe theater.
But I just wasn't that good at pushing myself forward and I hadn't sort of found my confidence at that point.
So I got a job in a job center and I stayed there for six years.
Yeah, that was just a bit of a mistake.
I was doing other things, you know, I was like doing courses and trying to find a back route in.
Yeah, it was very depressing.
But then I left there and that's when I went back to college and did my degree.
