It's like a traveling circus.
So to get away from your father, you had to go into hiding because, and then I also heard that he had like sent people to kill you and threaten you.
That has got to be such an, uh, just, I couldn't even describe that feeling of just knowing that your father is almost hunting you.
Do you think that he would have really hurt you or he was just threatening you?
And so that split lasted for 20 years because he became obsessive and the stalking and the harassment.
How do you close that gap with your dad?
How do you find that forgiveness in your heart for him after putting his own daughter through something so brutal?
Were you able to have a conversation?
I know he had Alzheimer's, but were you able to have a conversation with him to where he told you at least that he was sorry or anything like that?
No, you never got the sorry you deserved.
No, never, never, never, never.
I'm so sorry that you didn't get the sorry that you deserved.
And having to mourn somebody while they're still alive is probably tougher than when they've already passed.
Well, I'm proud of you for taking care of them, even if you didn't want to.
And my parents and life, I had to do the same thing.
I left home at 14, never met my mom until I was 36.
