I did this in my own life to make this more practical.
I was stepping back out from taking time to be with my kids to write this book.
And I had to work so hard on it.
I felt like I missed the entire fall.
And my belief was I just screwed up.
Like I messed up this whole fall.
I was all about work.
This is not what I wanted to do.
And I missed this valuable finite time with my kids.
I can never get it back.
And one of the things I did is I went on, I don't know what prompted this, but I went on Shutterfly and we've made some photo books and I started pulling out some of the favorites that I had from the fall and just putting it into this book.
And I've forgotten about all these Harry Potter parties and like the dressing up for multiple Halloweens and the kids at school and the hiking trips and all of this.

If I felt like I was a bad dad because of the decisions I made, I might've pivoted and not finished the book, right?
Or I would have felt bad when I'm with my kids or changed the way I interact with my wife.
But because I took that step of going back to those previous positive memories, it changed not only that current belief, but what I'm arguing in the book is the beliefs change not only the math about what's possible and probable, but it changes our path too.
That's right.
I think that goes back to your original critique is we don't want to be like, hey, my whole life has been great.
My parents were perfect.
