The world tries to sell hacks for everything now, how to make a million dollars overnight, how to do X, Y, and Z and sell your soul and you'll just become famous.

And, you know, there's a quick way to do everything.

And so I would say it might be a very old school way to write it, but I think it just kind of takes you back to the basics of proving through our athletic journeys and our marriage and our parenting and our business have like, if you really work for something that you love.

It'll pay off.

You just got to work through it.

Because I don't think it's fair to our children for anybody to expect them to be good at anything.

Right.

They should be allowed to be so miserably awful and fail at so many things and be celebrated for it and have people pour into them because of that, not because of, you know, whatever.

But I'd say the only way we're trying to parent them is to like convince them and make them believe at a foundational level.

that they alone with nothing else holds immense value.

And that all of these activities do not add value to their life or to them, but like we will support them in whatever they choose.

And...

It's really daunting to me.

Yeah, I would imagine.

I think both of our parents did a phenomenal job and did a very similar style of raising us in athletics where it was, they never really cared.

And I don't mean that in like a, they didn't care at all.

But they were more excited to bring us home and have dinner than they were to go to a competition where you could potentially get a medal.

They would celebrate it and say, good job, but do you want to go get pizza or a burger?

Like, I don't, we don't need to talk about that ever again, unless you want to, you know?

And it was, it was just never about the sport.
