So it's kind of this weird moment in cinema history where you had someone like Toby Hooper straight off the success of Poltergeist being given this three picture deal, just carte LaBlanche of just here make three movies, here's your deal for Canon Films, but one of them had to be Check the Chancel Massacre too.

So I I thought it was interesting finding out, of course, years later that this was the first of those three movies, which is I mean it's just a batshit crazy movie.

It is bonkers.

Um and this was his first endeavor, right, uh as part of that three picture deal.

So I think if you look at his career, the largest impact were those three films with Canon, outside of course, Texas Chainsaw Massacre in the seventies.

I think it it speaks to a time and a place and sort of an an attitude of how things were in nineteen eighty five.

Um with the British backdrop, I think kind of works against the film, at least for American audiences.

But it's it's an interesting take, right?
