Okay, so that's a fact.

I was deployed to Kuwait for for about a year with the um expeditionary unit.

So we did a lot of stuff out there and I was it was toward the tail end of the deployment that I got a letter, you know, a nice pleasant surprise, a letter from John with your uh Tony Morrison stamps here.

And I was like, Okay, what's going on?

Postmark.

Date there.

Oh, the date is August fifth, two thousand twenty three.

Okay, so and I'm wondering, you know, okay, what's going on with John or what what are we gonna talk about?

And you start with, you know, checking in, seeing how I'm doing, then you just go right into Life Force.

And you said, I noticed your Life Force poster, which I recently watched due to your implicit recommendation.

I had never seen this Hooper film before.

I'm not sure the movie is great, but on the other hand, I've been thinking a lot about it, which is unusual for horror films, if Life Force is even in that genre.

I suppose the story overlaps horror, science fiction, and adventure with a lot of melodrama.

What follows are some of my thoughts on Life Force to see if they accord at all with your own.

So then I get this pretty thorough analysis for two or three pages on Life Force.

And I was like, what a tremendous letter to get overseas to have me thinking about one of my favorite bizarro films.

And then, you know, you're going, I don't I don't know if you want me to read the whole thing.

But I'll I'll kind of point out you did bring up uh Liana Quigley, um Return of the Living Dead.

The special effects, the climax of the film, with Carlson copulating it with the vampire queen in the dusty vortex of Doom Souls is a sex scene whose climax doesn't occur.
