Looking at your WIP report, looking at your completed jobs for the year, all that stuff.
In order to give them what they need, you have to have good systems internally.

The accounting firm is not going to be doing the internal stuff to the point that it's got to be good enough that they can work with it, I guess is what I'm saying.
So and that's where you got to have a process for payroll time tracking.

Because we kind of got two things going on here.
We have the external users, which is going to be your bonding companies, your banks, if you have investors, partners, whatever.
That's gonna be one user.
Internally, you're gonna have different users, which are mostly gonna be your managers, job supervisors, and that's where job costing comes in.
So really you need strength in both.
Most importantly early on, I think for smaller companies, is getting the job costing part figured out.
And if you understand what you're making on jobs,
The rest of it will start to make sense, I think, and it will flow into your financials in a way that is accurate.
Because if you're getting your time tracking down, and I think of the inputs.
