If someone is just new to bonding, the financial strength is kinda just barely, their comfort level's just barely there, they're gonna ask for more.

If you've got a great history with them of performing and they know you know what you're doing,

Here's an example of something they look at that you wouldn't really think about, but me getting into bonding, this makes a lot of sense.

Early on, they wanted to know if we bid on a project, and let's say it's a $5 million project, and we won the project.

Actually, we had one like this.

It was $4.5 million, and we were the low bidder by $350,000.

And they're like, how are you guys the low bidder by $350,000?

What's going on?

Because their brain is like, well, something got missed.

What did you guys miss?

And so the estimating process is a big deal.

So the comfort level there, when they questioned that back then to now, they wouldn't really question.

But that's a relationship thing.

Because early on, they're trying to learn, do they actually know how they're estimating?

What's their process?

They don't know all that stuff.

but they learn it through dealing with you.

So the estimating, I mean the whole thing, they look at all that early on.

So once the relationship's there, they're really hands off unless there's an issue.
