Socialist Democrat Zora Mamdani has won the mayor's race in New York City, according to the Associated Press.

Mamdani defeated former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who ran as an independent, and Republican radio host Curtis Sliva.

Democrat Mikey Sherrill is the winner of the New Jersey race for governor, according to the AP.

An elated Sherrill addressed supporters late Tuesday in Newark.

Cheryl thanked a Republican opponent, former state legislator Jack Cittarelli, who was endorsed by President Trump.

According to the AP, Democratic former Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger will be the next governor of Virginia and the first woman to lead the state.

The former Congresswoman and CIA veteran defeated Republican Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears, who did not receive a personal endorsement from Trump.

California voters easily approved a ballot measure that's aimed at giving Democrats five more seats in Congress in next year's midterms.

A UPS cargo plane crashed near the airport in Louisville, Kentucky Tuesday, killing at least seven people and injuring 11 others.
