And you put your self-worth into it, too.
No, they downplay it a lot where they don't actually consider it from the horse's perspective.
They consider it from the perspective that's been created for them by the industry where it's like, oh, well, good training should be able to make them deal with this.
But it's like, you see how many horses struggle.
A lot of them...
Like having them actually cope well with it where it's not like openly clear that they're very stressed is very difficult.
And I think that speaks for how unreasonable a lot of these expectations are.
And you touched on something, too, with like the the what the price you have to pay for being athletic, very young and pushing your young body very hard and then also dissociating from it because of the stress and the pressures.
I think that's something with young horses that we don't value enough and a lot of people will make excuses for it.
And I see it very often where people will cite the studies done on racehorses and they'll be like, studies show that these horses are sounder and have longer careers when they're started at two.
But then if you reference any one of those studies, they're only looking at those horses for the duration of their racing career.
And the average racehorse only runs until about five years old.
But even if we're going to throw them a bone and say that the horse runs until the absolute max age, which I think is 11, it's either 11 or 12.
Um, but let's say that they run until the very last year they can legally run.
They're still got at least a decade worth of living minimum probably because the, or more like 13 years because horses typically like they average out at 25 years and we're not accounting for the soundness after that.
And
As Sony's been present for a lot more vet checks on these horses than the average person, the horses that actually pass those vet checks without having some type of bony change, be it a bone chip, arthritis, kissing spine, bone spurs, anything, or a tendon injury or something else, because soft tissue issues are also big, the horses that retire without those issues are very, very rare.
