Okay, the next one is, like, I don't agree with this one, but to build a professional network.
I didn't join my sorority to build a professional network, but I'm curious if you guys felt like that in any way.
I definitely don't think that it should be a like large reason as to enjoying.
I think it should be something that like maybe after like you start to realize that like you're just surrounded by so many like really smart, intelligent women that like are really driven and have a lot of things like kind of going for them and just like either use it to like ask them advice or ask them questions or ask how they got there, etc.,
Um, I remember when I was rushing going down to my two houses, there was kind of one house that almost just like made me feel like I was getting like recruited.
Like I kind of felt like every time I was going in there, it was like almost a job interview.
And like, they were really like showing like all the summer internships that they've done and like a lot of the things and it's like, this is crazy.
great and all and like you guys are have so much going for you guys but i think when i was like ruling down to it i was like i'm doing this to make friends i'm not doing it to like have linkedin connections um and like whatever house that you're gonna go into like there's gonna have a like you're gonna be surrounded with girls that have a lot of things going for them um so i think more so like maybe after you join like get to know the girls and like see where they're at and like see like kind of like what they've done and like learn and like you guys are there to motivate one another
I definitely, I completely agree.
And I think that once again, this is one of those things where it's like an unexpected benefit, but it shouldn't be like the reason that you do it.
For me, like I actually got my job through my sorority because of one of my like sorority sisters was leaving.
And like, I had managed to kind of like ask around, like if anyone had had any jobs in an industry I was really interested in.
And next thing you know, like I got her job.
So like, I feel like I'm a maybe unique case because I do feel like I owe a lot of
like DG for being the reason that I like have the job that I have now post-grad but again it's like one of those like benefits that I think if you go into it with that expectation it could be a little bit superficial not superficial but like it should you shouldn't be joining a sorority to get LinkedIn connections like I completely agree with that I think it's like the ability to just like know that there's so many people in like your quote-unquote network of just like your alum and
like your big alumni group, which I think is really cool.
And like, we had a lot of really incredible opportunities where moms would come in and talk in our sorority about like what they've been doing since they graduated.
And I actually really benefited from that and really appreciated that sort of mentorship, but it's like, it's kind of a perk that isn't, I don't think it should be like a huge priority.
