We were just sort of talking about it tonight and sort of said, you know, it's not every day that you get to, number one, get to play in a World Cup final, but then, you know, get to play in a World Cup final at Lord's Cricket Ground.
So, you know, we're hoping to have a nice week and a good lead in and I'm hoping the girls can sort of enjoy the week and embrace, you know, where we're at and what we've done and have a good lead in and,
get a couple of days before we reset and build up to that day on Sunday.
So, yeah, it should be super exciting and find out who we're playing in a couple of days as well.
Yeah, for sure.
And I think, you know, coming into that, we sort of knew that, you know, Soph's got a lot of experience.
She's led this group brilliantly.
You know, she's been fantastic to work alongside of and the way she sort of rallied the troops and then performed herself with the, you know, particularly in the power play and taking wickets for us as our leading wicket taker has led the way there.
But just the way that she sort of
rallied the group i think and and led them throughout the tournament um has been you know has been unbelievable and you know full credit to her it's been you know it's been awesome to to work closely alongside of her and watch her go about her business but um yeah she deserves a lot of the credit for us getting to sort of where we are right now
Yeah, I think it's been huge for her.
You know, we've always known what she's capable of as a player and a leader, but to be able to, you know, get back to probably her best in a World Cup and perform like she has so far and been a crucial part of our bowling set-up and our bowling's been, you know, unbelievable and it's going to play a massive role for us in the finals, so...
um, for her to do that and lead the way there and, and get back to her best has been excellent to watch.
And, um, yeah, it just adds value adds a lot to the, to the group and, you know, on, off the field and, um, the way she's contributing has been, has been excellent.
Oh, I think part of it's, you know, we've had a couple of disappointing World Cups.
As everyone, you know, knows, we've sort of reached the semis in the last T20 and the last ODI World Cup, and I think there's a real hunger in the group.
um that certainly doesn't mean that that we're gonna come and win but um you know i think there's a there's a real hunger in the group they're staying really level and and hopefully no matter what the result but that we can just bring our best game and and um put it out there on on sunday so i think a few of the group have been through that i guess heartbreak you'd say but um yeah i think there's a real hunger and desire to to go one better this time and um hopefully that uh
That falls our way, but we certainly know no matter what happens in the next semi, we're going to have a pretty tough opponent come Sunday.
yeah no we we haven't really brought it up i think um you know there's there's sort of an underlying people people really want this one um as you do every world cup but um i don't think there's you know we sort of haven't haven't spoken too much about about past um events or what's happened but
But I think that, you know, goes without saying that the players are pretty hungry and have got a, you know, a deep drive for this.
