I think that podcast was in a zoo setting and you're talking about in a wildlife setting, but the same can be true in a companion animal setting.

How do we kind of change those perspectives and behaviors?

And I love to hear you talking about, oh, I made a note and I'm not seeing, oh, one small difference the next time they encounter wildlife, rather than giving all the information that we wanna give and changing somebody's entire life all at once.

Right.

And I think it goes back to that common thread that you were talking about that kind of ran through everything that you shared about.

And that's thinking about things through the other's perspective, through the other's experience and recognizing that I might be just fine with a possum in my backyard.

Yeah.

that somebody else might not be.

And there's a reason that they're not, you know, whether that reason makes sense or comes easily to me in my head or not, there's a reason that they're not.

And so if I want to be able to shift their behavior, I've got to be able to see things from their perspective a little bit.

Yeah.

And perhaps there's something that he learned that impacted his behavior in one small way.

Maybe it's not going to change this entire relationship with possums or wildlife, but maybe a little bit, maybe a little approximation.

Exactly.

Yeah, and that's the way behavior has changed, right?

It's usually not changed all in one fell swoop, but in successive approximations.
