We have a gallery in Echo Park called Subliminal Projects, and I have a new body of fine art.

I didn't think anybody would ever buy

Fine art for me, paintings.

Yeah, you know, paintings, unique pieces.

I just thought, okay, my realm is in skate punk, hip hop, streetwear culture.

And people will maybe buy an art print.

They'll definitely buy a t-shirt.

They'll accept a free sticker, but asking them to buy a more expensive piece of art is a bridge too far.

Yeah.

So what first happened was people started coming to my art shows where I had prints on the wall, and some people that were, you know, old, like 32, would say... Oh, fuck.

Would say, I've recently come into a better position in...
