It's OK.
Sometimes you just need a guy for a couple of weeks, for a month.
You know, over the course of a long season, you're going to see a lot of players put on a Blue Jays uniform.
Not all of them are full time guys or players who will be there from start to finish.
Yeah, it's a really good showcase for his power.
And we knew that when he came over.
This is a player who hit over 20 home runs last season.
And he gets that high fastball on the outside.
And a lot of players are looking to kind of poke that the other way.
Like it's a bloop single to right field if they're even able to manage it at all.
And he really wrote it and he drove it into the gap there.
He is someone who has that power element.
Just unfortunately for him, some of the other aspects are not always there.
The discipline isn't always there.
The defensive abilities come under question.
When they brought him aboard, this is the type of thing they envisioned.
He's not necessarily a full-time, everyday player, but he's someone in the right matchup and the right situation who might just deliver that big extra race hit, which is exactly what the team had been lacking all season long.
Unfortunately, he hasn't done that with much consistency so far, but this was a game-defining hit for him, and there's a reason he was the one getting that Gatorade shower that, unfortunately, Hazel was a little bit too much a part of in the end there.
