We saw it in Poland at the Belarusian border when the Russians intervened.

The Polish left these people out in the freezing cold.
Several of them died.
It happened with the Finnish border with Russia.
It happened in Latvia and the Baltic countries.
And in those cases, the European Commission said they had full solidarity with those countries.
But in actual fact, it didn't happen with Spain.

So the Supreme Court ruling at the end of June was that anyone who comes by sea, normally people, when they do arrive irregularly, they are sent back immediately.

The point of the court was that you should be able to be given due process and apply for asylum, but not in Spain, in Sueta or somewhere else, or at least within a holding centre.
So that was a separate issue.

they're already in the country working in the black economy.
Often they arrived legally, you know, through a normal visa process, but they've been working illegally.
And his point is that from a security perspective, you also need to know who's in the country and they're providing a service because we need these migrants.
